Veterans Energy Transition (VET) Act

The following is from the VVA National Government Affairs Department

When America’s veterans are ready to work, Congress should remove the barriers standing in their way.

H.R. 4105, the Veterans Energy Transition (VET) Act, creates clear pathways for veterans and military spouses to move from military service into high-demand, good-paying careers in the energy and advanced manufacturing sectors.

The VET Act would establish a Department of Labor grant program to help employers hire veterans by reimbursing up to $10,000 per veteran or military spouse for costs such as training, certifications, onboarding, and relocation. The bill prioritizes veterans with service-connected disabilities, those experiencing homelessness, involuntarily separated service members, and veterans living in opportunity zones.
