Changes in Voting Procedures at the upcoming VVA National Convention:
We are changing the procedure for voting this year.
- The Elections Committee is asking that delegates who can move without assistance and stand for longer periods of time vote in the first hour, from 9am to 10am.
- Second, we would like those who are using assistance, i.e., crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs, motorized assist chairs, and powered wheelchairs, to vote in the second hour, from 10am to 11am. Please allow those with crutches, canes, or walkers to go to the front of the line during this second hour.
This will allow us to move the registration tables to make it easier to negotiate the confined room and, hopefully, make it easier for everyone during the voting process.
