National Convention – New Orleans – Transportation

Airport Transportation: Important Information

Attendees should arrange their ground transportation (Uber, Lyft, taxi, or airport limo).

Getting from the Airport to the Hotel: You should be arriving at the Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY). It is 14 miles from downtown New Orleans, and the majority of the trip is interstate. There are several choices for transportation. Please note, as of February 2023, the airport shuttle company will no longer be contracting individual rides. They only do big groups arriving at the same time. The hotel does not provide a shuttle service.

There is a cab stand right outside the Airport on level 1. Fares are $36 each way for one or two people. Three people or more are $14 each. There is a $1 per bag fee. This fare is good from the Airport to anywhere in the city of New Orleans. The town regulates it, but it is subject to change.

You can also easily order an Uber or Lyft when you land at the New Orleans Airport, and they’ll get you to your destination in no time! Located on level 1, there is a designated spot for rideshare pick-ups. It is conveniently outside of baggage claim, so grab your suitcase and meet your driver. Trips to and from the Airport with start and end locations in Orleans Parish are a minimum of $36.
