Getting an A
Fifteen military hospitals, including eight Army facilities, have received an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for spring 2026. The program, run by Leapfrog Group, an independent nonprofit that evaluates hospitals nationwide on safety and prevention measures, assigns grades from A to F twice a year.
What to Watch: The hospitals at Fort Hood and Fort Bliss in Texas and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, have received an A for the past five consecutive six-month cycles. The other Army hospitals on the spring 2026 list are at Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston; Fort Gordon, Georgia; Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington; and Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
